For many years, vuMail provided Clarion developers with a practical way to add email to their applications. The product is now retired, but the need it solved certainly did not disappear.
The current path forward is vuMailKit.
Why the change matters
Mail providers have moved toward newer security requirements, including OAuth-based authentication and stronger connection security. vuMailKit was built for that environment while keeping the Clarion side of the integration practical.
What existing vuMail users should know
The retired vuMail product page remains on this site intentionally. Existing users may still arrive through old bookmarks, documentation, search results, or an older application they are maintaining.
Rather than sending those developers to a missing page, the site keeps the vuMail history visible and points directly to vuMailKit as the replacement.
Current capabilities
vuMailKit includes support for:
- Secure SMTP sending
- POP3 mail retrieval, including attachments
- Gmail OAuth
- Microsoft OAuth
- A built-in Setup Wizard
- ABC and Legacy applications
Moving forward
If you are maintaining an application that still uses vuMail, review the current vuMailKit product page for compatibility, pricing, and the current release information.
